ABOUT: Wrestlers compete with opponents that are in their same weight class. Weight classes are in five-pound increments ranging from 45 pounds to 150 pounds plus Heavyweight, not to exceed 185 pounds.
Uniforms are provided by the program and are the responsibility of the
wrestler. Head gear and proper wrestling footwear are mandatory for practices and matches. Athletic supporters are optional. It is also recommended that your child have bottled water to drink at practices and at matches. The shoes and head gear can be purchased at most athletic stores. Any parents that wish to sell or donate shoes are welcome to bring them in.
Experienced wrestlers typically practice with A squad, and novice wrestlers work with the B squad.

Several Youth Wrestling Camps are held throughout the Summer months at Sevena Park High School and the U.S. Naval Academy. These camps help introduce the sport of wrestling and teach basic wrestling moves.
AGE RANGE: The Green Hornet's Wrestling Program is offered to youths between the ages of 7 and 15.
COST: $100
SEASON: The entire wrestling season runs from the first week in November to the second week in March. There are two squads - "A" for experienced wrestlers, and "B" for less experienced wrestlers. The "A" team practices Monday, Wednesday and Friday, "B" team on Tuesday and Thursday. All practices are held at Severn School from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
